White Out

Happy World Cardmaking Day
It's my last day here in Maryland for a while. Heading to California for a couple of months. So instead of packing...which I detest...I decided to make some cards.  A Blog Named Hero is having a WHITE OUT challenge, only white paper can be used, no colored or patterned paper.

Two birthday cards were made, using only white cardstock, some ink, stamps, magic tape, glitter and embossing powder. Two very different cards.

Challenge Entry
This card is a with panel on a white linen textured square card base.  The stamps are stamped with brilliance ink and clear embossed.  The black lines are actually glitter applied to double sided tape. It really sparkles in person.

just for fun
My next card is much less WHITE.  I stamped the envelope pattern twice once in brown the second time in butter bar. It is edged with an alcohol marker, close inspection shows the ink stamp through the marker. I kinda like that effect.  A couple more elements added to actually make it a birthday card, and its done.

Time to clean up my stamps, and get to the packing...which did I mention I detest?  Not looking forward to saying good bye to hubs for 66 long days either! :-(

Thanks for coming by.

  1. Super cards, Cat. Sorry you have to be gone for such a long time - especially since you'll miss Maryland's prettiest time of year. Hopefully, you'll be together full time soon! Safe travels. :)

  2. Beautiful cards, Cat! And I so agree with you about packing, especially for that long amount of time! Hope you'll be able to take along your card making supplies!

  3. Love your cards especially the white one. I remember when you first started scrapbooking. Look how much you've learned and how well you do. I'm looking forward to seeing you next week! Can't wait. Love you.
