One birthday card visiting 4 challenges

Hi there!

How do you all pick your challenges to play in...well other than those on design teams...but which ones voluntarily?  I follow about 168 blogs and most mornings post breakfast, I scroll through my bloglovin feed and save to my tool bar the ones I think I might want to play in along with the due date in the title of the bookmark.

Today I was looking at my saves, deleting a few since I was past the deadline and I found 4 that would work well together and here goes:

City Crafter Challenge is BalloonsFreshly Made sketches has a darling one by Jen,  Color Throwdown's colors are Aqua, Orange and Gray and perfect for some papers in my stash, and Shopping our Stash has Birthday as the theme.  Icons for each of the challenges are below.

Here is my card:

Its simple, and with the multi colored balloons festive and its going in the mail tomorrow!

Thanks so very much for stopping by!

you fit your card so perfectly into all those challenges, Cat - could be a winner in any one of them! i kind of do the same thing every morning - scroll thru bloglovin' and check out my favorite blogs and challenges - one of my card making resolutions was to enter more challenges this year and it really does get the creative juices flowing.

I love balloons & yours are so pretty! Love the scalloped mat & your soft inking in the background--great card, Cat! Wow--you follow a lot more blogs than I do! I like to go for random drawings with a prize I'd like to have. After I finish a card I check to see if it fits any challenges in addition to the one I had in mind as I made it.

I love what you did with the sketch! I worked on this sketch a little yesterday, but it wasn’t working out so I cut up my card and changed it completely!

I keep a crafting to do list on my iPad. It includes a list of the challenges I participate in somewhat regularly (about 30 of them). I try to update the theme as I see them. It also includes general ideas I have had and also cards that I need soon. So then I look at the list and see how it goes.

I tend to prefer challenges that pick a top card based on merit. At least that means something. Although for prizes they ought to be random.

The website you emailed me is a touch overwhelming! But definitely a good resource! Thanks!

This is multi-tasking at its most beautiful, Cat! LOve your pink sky, and your PP choices make for the cutest balloons, evah!
I do have my favorites ... I have them sent right to my inbox, see what moves me, print their inspiration photo/prompt on quarter-pieces of paper and keep them front-and-center under my clear desk-blotter until complete!
You've made perfect choices, today, Cat ... xx
