Something tropical

Hello

On a trip to a fabulous crafty store in Virginia called Goldenshill Papercraft, I found these two stamps from Stampendous.  One of our gals from the group was soon moving to Florida and I thought this might make a cute card for her.  I pretty much cased the design, but not necessarily the colors from the store sample.  It is colored in a flow-y way as intended by the designer Laurel Birch. It is bright and wild.

It was way out of my comfort zone, and I may never color them again...but it was something I had to try.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I love the Laurel Birch stamps at Stampendous, but haven't gotten any so far. Beautiful card, Cat--please color up that stamp again--the bird is darling! Wonderful idea for your friend--although I'd be re-thinking a move to Florida. Of course, I never considered living there even though it's where my grandmother spent most of her adult life.
